Janalee is the Guide who leads every learning day. Bryan is husband, dad, and the advisor behind the vision.
Janalee Ensley
I'm a mother of two daughters, ages 11 and 15. My youngest, Cora, will be a learner in the Discovery Collective; my oldest, Jade, is a sophomore at King's Way Christian School.
I hold a Master's degree in Child, Family, and School Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I spent years working in mental health and education, where I saw firsthand the limitations traditional systems place on innovation and individual growth. Since 2015, I've stepped away from traditional employment to co-lead a direct sales business alongside my husband.
I serve as the Guide of the Discovery Collective—creating the environment, structure, and culture that allows learners to grow in independence, curiosity, and ownership of their education.

- Guide learners through structured 25-minute work cycles

- Coach learners in mindset, ownership, and personal responsibility
My approach is shaped by questioning norms, thinking independently, and building solutions where gaps exist. The Discovery Collective is a natural extension of that mindset.
Bryan
Bryan is first and foremost a husband and dad. While he isn't part of day-to-day operations, his perspective and support are an important part of the vision behind the Discovery Collective.
He's an entrepreneur and leadership mentor who believes deeply in the potential of young people—kids thrive when they're trusted, challenged, and given room to think for themselves, learn through experience, and discover who they're becoming.
